Privacy and cookie policy

This policy explains what information Moalem Consulting collects on moalemc.com, why, where it is kept, for how long, and what rights you have. It is written to meet the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, as amended (Amendment 13), and, for visitors from the EU, the GDPR.

Who is responsible

Moalem Consulting, owned by Asaf Moalem, CPA, Haifa, Israel. For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@moalemconsulting.co.il.

What we collect, and why

Contact form: your name, email and message (required), and your company and phone (optional), plus the site language. We use them only to reply to you, schedule a call and, if you become a client, to run the engagement. You are not required by law to give us this information, but without it we cannot answer you.

With the form we also record the page you sent it from, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link (UTM), your country (from the server, not from your device), and your browser type. We do not store your IP address. We keep only a one-way code (a hash) derived from it, which cannot be turned back into the address, and use it only to block repeated spam submissions.

Newsletter: your email and language, only if you sign up. Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and we stop sending as soon as you use it.

Analytics: only if you agree in the cookie banner. See the cookie section below.

Who receives the information

We do not sell, rent or share your information for marketing. It is processed for us by service providers under data processing agreements: Vercel Inc. (hosting and cookieless, aggregated performance statistics), Supabase (the database, servers in Frankfurt, Germany), Resend (sending email, servers in Ireland), and Google (Google Analytics, only with your consent). Some of these providers are based in the United States, so information may be transferred there under the safeguards those agreements provide.

How long we keep it

Contact requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Your cookie choice: 12 months in your browser, then we ask again; the anonymous record of it, 24 months. Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics.

Cookies and similar technology

Essential (always on, no consent needed): your accessibility settings and your cookie choice are saved in your browser so the site remembers them. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Analytics (off unless you agree): Google Analytics 4 sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> to count visits and see which pages are read, in aggregate. They expire after 13 months. Google signals, advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off. Until you click “Accept”, the Google script is not loaded at all and no request is sent to Google.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are deleted from your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal.

We keep an anonymous record of each choice (the choice, the policy version, the date and the site language) to be able to show that consent was given. It includes no IP address and no detail that identifies you.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may object to receiving the newsletter. Write to privacy@moalemconsulting.co.il and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Privacy Protection Authority at the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Visitors from the EU also have the rights set out in the GDPR, including data portability and complaining to their local supervisory authority.

Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The database is encrypted at rest and is not reachable from the browser. Only Moalem Consulting staff can open contact requests, after signing in with a one-time code, and every sign-in and change is logged.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change affects cookies, the cookie banner will ask for your choice again.
